About Me
As a primary care physician, it is deeply rewarding to help people achieve their health and wellness goals. My patients rely on me as a partner in their health care journey. I build genuine, trusting relationships with each patient and their families, which leads to more effective care.
My career has always involved educating medical students and residents, and I am a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I am especially passionate about this responsibility because teachers and mentors play vital roles in a physician’s growth. I believe this work will impact more patients than I could ever see personally. I’ve been recognized for my teaching, including with Teacher of the Year awards from Ohio State

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Trouten has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
