Biography
I am Jason Lather, MD, and I specialize in emergency radiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on trauma imaging, musculoskeletal imaging and providing timely diagnostic imaging to support patient care in acute and emergency settings.
As a diagnostic radiologist in the Department of Radiology, I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate, efficient imaging interpretations that help guide clinical decision-making when patients need answers most. My clinical interests include emergency radiology, trauma imaging, and musculoskeletal imaging.
In addition to my clinical work, I collaborate with the Franklin County Coroner's Office, where I interpret postmortem CT examinations in support of medicolegal investigations. This work contributes valuable imaging insights that assist with the evaluation of complex cases.
I am committed to advancing the field of emergency radiology through resident education, quality improvement initiatives, and collaborative efforts that enhance patient care. I value teamwork and strive to provide imaging expertise that supports both patients and the clinicians who care for them.

Academics and research
The culture at Ohio State makes the practice of medicine even more worthwhile. I enjoy interacting with excellent resident physicians and medical students and even participate in screening medical student applications to select some of the best students to study at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I enjoyed academics during my medical education, and missed many of the academic pursuits not present at other medical institutions. I jumped on an opportunity to return to Ohio State, and I’m very happy to be a part of this institution and department.
