Physician, Assistant Professor
Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
Department: Internal Medicine
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes before the age of 3 and that experience continues to shape how I care for patients today. I understand the daily challenges of living with a chronic condition, and I strive to provide care that goes beyond the numbers – focusing on quality of life, sustainability and what matters most to each person.
As an endocrinologist, I specialize in caring for people with diabetes. I am particularly interested in the use of emerging technologies such as continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pumps to improve not just medical outcomes, but also overall well-being. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I also treat patients for all conditions across the endocrine spectrum.
My patients can rely on me for honest communication and clear explanations during every visit. I enjoy helping patients understand complex lab test results, and then translate them into clear, practical care plans.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Jeremy Steinman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
