About Me
As a sleep medicine nurse practitioner, I treat patients with sleep disorders including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, hypersomnia, insomnia and restless leg syndrome. I also treat co-existing pulmonary conditions such as asthma and COPD in my sleep patients. In addition, I manage the Inspire Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulator therapy clinic for obstructive sleep apnea.
Working in sleep medicine truly makes me feel like I am making a difference in someone's life. I love to help people improve their quality of sleep and daytime function. I always go the extra mile to make sure my patients’ care is complete from the moment they walk into my clinic to the second they get home.
Working at Ohio State’s Lung Center has been my dream job. I began my career as a respiratory therapist who wanted to expand her scope of practice. Now, I’m able to stay involved with the respiratory therapy program through teaching and get the best of both worlds! I love working in an academic medical center, where there’s a focus on research and education as well as patient care.
I have three children that keep me pretty busy when I’m not at work. In my free time I enjoy playing and watching sports, and I coach my daughter’s softball team during the summer.

She was very professional and caring about my sleep problem and ask how I feel and if there was a problem with my machine or if I was having problems sleeping at night.

I have seen Jessica for many years; she is a valuable partner in my sleep medicine treatment. She knows my record, and gave me helpful suggestions on the humidification level (demonstrated how to view & change setting with my machine). Also, she mentioned some pads that may help with nasal mask pressure on my upper nose (Gecko, by ResMed).
