About Me

As a cardiologist, I believe that while it is important to have a standardized approach to treatment for many problems, it is also important to keep an open mind in order to individualize care plans for each patient’s unique situation. I like taking time to get to know my patients and engaging with them during this process. I specialize in adult general cardiology and am passionate about heart disease prevention and the improvements being made in the field of cardiovascular health as it remains an area of critical importance for all.

I enjoy working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of our community. It's a pleasure to work with such a brilliant group of health care providers and staff who are dedicated to providing the best patient-centered care available.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, watching Ohio State football games and spending time with my family.

Dr. Liu is awesome! He listens really well & truly seems to care about his patients. 15/10 would recommend!

  • Reviewed on Oct 01, 2019

Dr. Liu was exceptional at explaining things, double checking on my results and medications. He explained things in ways that I could understand and put me at ease on some areas that I was worried about. I did mention one thing about my family health that did cause an additional conversation and test, but that was a good thing. Unlike many specialists, he was not trying to get out the door 2 minutes after he got there and I loved the question at the end of "do you have any questions for me?" and he waited for a response. He also did not spend the whole time staring at the computer but made eye contact. A lost art!
