As a cardiologist, I believe that while it is important to have a standardized approach to treatment for many problems, it is also important to keep an open mind in order to individualize care plans for each patient’s unique situation. I like taking time to get to know my patients and engaging with them during this process. I specialize in adult general cardiology and am passionate about heart disease prevention and the improvements being made in the field of cardiovascular health as it remains an area of critical importance for all.
I enjoy working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of our community. It's a pleasure to work with such a brilliant group of health care providers and staff who are dedicated to providing the best patient-centered care available.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, watching Ohio State football games and spending time with my family.

Dr. L was very conscious about my test results and how my condition had changed. He even called me at home later to discuss further my plan of care.

Dr. Liu Is an excellent listener. He knows I didn't want to be on blood thinners as we've had this discussion for several years. But by the time I needed them, I was ready to take them because I fully understood why. He is very patient and I appreciate that as I have multiple health problems. Adding an additional medication or two is a concern.

Dr. Was very friendly and talked to me in a way that was very helpful in understanding my medical issues. He also scheduled tests right away. He was very knowledgeable.
I turn 65 next year and should start on blood thinners. My physician knows that concern to me because with MS I fall into things on a regular basis. He explained to me how they work and why I would need to start on them at age 65. He did not rush me with this discussion. I appreciate him taking his time to explain all this to me so that I'll feel comfortable starting blood thinners next year
