Biography
As an electrophysiology nurse practitioner focused on management of arrythmias, I help treat patients with a variety of heart conditions including high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure.
I have a family history of heart disease. Several members of my family have had heart disease, and all of us have been affected by it. This, along with the growing prevalence of heart disease in our society, motivates me in my career.
I believe that providing individualized care is more than selecting the right test, procedure or treatment for the patient based on their personal circumstances. It also means empowering the patient and their family through patient education and resources that are compatible with their lifestyle and culture.
I came to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center to experience and participate in educational opportunities, innovative activities and research projects. I’m proud to be part of a team of health care providers that makes a positive impact on lives every day!
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending my free time reading, gardening and traveling with my friends and family.

She was knowledgeable and asked lots of questions to ascertain the reason for my low blood pressure.
She is wonderful. Listens, explains, and investigates and orders proper tests.
All excellent
Good eye contact I did not feel hurried. Listened carefully to my concerns. Felt like I was the only patient she had that day.
She reviewed information re: last visit and what had changed based on her examination. We went over medication list and was what was expected in the future. Discussed current location limitations/function and encouraged to maintain exercise program .
Joanna Keefe is always very good at answering questions and asking a variety of questions of to determine she has all the information she needs. She is also well aware of your condition. My wife and I like her.
