Biography
I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in assessing and treating patients facing mental health struggles including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), postpartum depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and sleep disorders. I have dedicated my practice to supporting patients who have experienced adverse childhood or adult incidents, and those navigating significant life transitions such as grief, retirement and spiritual changes.
My passion for becoming a clinical psychologist stems from a deep desire to impact others meaningfully and positively. I use a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help my patients overcome challenges, build resilience and foster lasting change in their lives. Central to my work is a collaborative approach. My patients can expect a safe, nonjudgmental and compassionate environment for healing and personal growth.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I help educate the next generation of providers. I am an assistant clinical professor of Family and Community Medicine in The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Engelman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
