I chose a career as a physician assistant because I’ve always felt drawn to helping people in a hands-on, meaningful way. As an advanced practice provider in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I take care of patients before and after their procedures and assist in the operating room. I specialize in reconstructive breast surgeries and treating infections. In addition, I am currently completing an advanced practice provider (APP) fellowship in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the OSUCCC – James.
I love combining science, problem-solving and creativity to make a positive difference in someone’s life – whether by restoring function or by helping a patient feel more confident in their skin. Every day brings something new, and it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that supports patients through such important moments.
I’m also proud to support other advanced practice providers and share best practices that help ensure patients receive optimal care. I’ve presented my expertise at the APP conference that is held here annually at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
