About Me

As an endocrinologist in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, I believe in a patient-centered approach to help people achieve their health goals. I specialize in treating all forms of diabetes and I enjoy helping patients manage their condition, reduce the risk of complications, and live the highest quality of life possible. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center fosters a working environment where creativity and collaboration are encouraged, leading to advanced patient care and research advancements, and I am proud to be part of this team.

My clinical research is focused on exploring new therapies and testing devices that may improve diabetes monitoring and treatment. I have participated in investigator-initiated studies and large multicenter sponsored clinical trials. I have also been on numerous advisory panels to help develop consensus guidelines, and on data safety monitoring committees for national and international trials.

My experience in academic medicine has encouraged me to build lasting partnerships, with the goal of working together to develop innovative therapies and promote excellence in patient care. In that spirit, I’ve also held various leadership roles with Cardi-OH, an Ohio Medicaid-funded learning collaborative created to disseminate best practices in cardiology care and reduce health care disparities.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking and taking road trips with my family.

None at all and Dr. Dungan seemed very professional and sincere with the following medical questions that I had in regards to wanting to upgrade to a new OmniPod 5 insulin pump system and upgrade to a Dexcom G7 CGM system that is now integrated with the OmniPod 5 system. As well, she was very helpful in giving some medical suggestions to certain 24 hr background basal insulin times for my OmniPod Dash pump system, including I was very grateful to her for taking me in that day to fit in her appointment schedule since my NP had called off that day since I was scheduled to see her, and she was able to fit me in for a little later that morning, including agreed to have me as her endocrinologist since my other one this past year had left that medical facility.
