Otolaryngology
Department: Otolaryngology
I’m a certified nurse practitioner in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, providing specialized care for patients with ear-related conditions. I work with neurotologists and primarily treat patients for hearing and headache disorders, dizziness and hearing loss.
Prior to my current role, I treated patients with balance and headache disorders for nearly a decade as part of the Department of Neurology. I was able to use a multidisciplinary treatment approach and saw how collaborative communication positively impacts and empowers patients throughout their health care journey. When patients come to see me, they can expect an individualized approach aimed at improving quality of life for both them and their families. I’m passionate about implementing evidence-based research into clinical practice to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.?
The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center is a special place to work because everyone on staff embraces a commitment to research and academics and is devoted to delivering the best evidence-based care with every patient interaction. I’m also proud to help train future providers in my role as a preceptor for graduate-level nursing students.?
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, running, cycling and attending college football games.

Kathleen did an excellent job removing my ear wax blockage.
She's always great! She discussed the problems I was having and gave good understandable answers.
I had never seen this particular audiologist before, but I was impressed and appreciated some of the changes that had been made in the hearing tests from all my previous visits over the past 20 years or so.
She's very friendly, like her a lot, she is caring.
Nurse Moore exemplifies the very best in our medical system. Clear, thorough, intelligent, decisive with terrific follow through. She worked well after hours to communicate with me to arrange for me to get into the surgeon asap. Wow! Just. Wow. I never had to manage the bureaucracy of getting my medical appointments set up. And THEN, to my surprise and delightc Nurse Moore attended my appointment with the surgeon, completing a seamless handoff of my care. I woulld never expect such level of service, and to the extent that a provider does this, I hope they are themselves given a relief valve an support mechanism so as to avoid burnout. Nurse Moore is a treasure. OSU and its patients are very very fortunate!

She's excellent, listened to me, exams my ears (this was an ENT visit) and immediately resolved one of the problems and discussed options for treating the other.
