I’m a certified nurse practitioner in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, providing specialized care for patients with ear-related conditions. I work with neurotologists and primarily treat patients for hearing and headache disorders, dizziness and hearing loss.
Prior to my current role, I treated patients with balance and headache disorders for nearly a decade as part of the Department of Neurology. I was able to use a multidisciplinary treatment approach and saw how collaborative communication positively impacts and empowers patients throughout their health care journey. When patients come to see me, they can expect an individualized approach aimed at improving quality of life for both them and their families. I’m passionate about implementing evidence-based research into clinical practice to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.?
The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center is a special place to work because everyone on staff embraces a commitment to research and academics and is devoted to delivering the best evidence-based care with every patient interaction. I’m also proud to help train future providers in my role as a preceptor for graduate-level nursing students.?
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, running, cycling and attending college football games.

My provider took time to examine my ears and the area around my Baha implant. She gave me an antibiotic prescription and made sure I had a return appointment to see audiologist and doctor. She was very helpful and I was pleased with her professionalism.

Katie listens to you regarding your problem. Then she looks to see what is going on. Then she explains what she did and tell you what she wants you to do do to solve the problem.
The overall experience was positive. Being able to see the procedure on a viewing screen was excellent and new for me.

APN-RN MOORE: Positives: Personable, knowledgeable, pleasant, professional.I felt comfortable In my discussion with her. She was will to discuss some Issues related to my chart that I had posed. Negatives: she was behind In seeing me due to situations out of her control. She was doing the SHE could for her patients. I had spent 45 min In the exam room awaiting her to go over my test results. Once she was In the exam room the experience went well. A CREDIT TO HER. ,

Because Katie Is so easy to talk to I informed her about an unrelated health problem that I'm concerned about and she was so knowledgeableshe is sending me to a neurologist. When I told her I that I had almost had a bowel obstruction 3 times in past 4 months and because I'm on Ajovy and a side effect is constipation and I knew this but as I had an ileostomy ( I have no large instestine ) about 10 years ago I have to take immodium to have any type of consistency I didn't think I would have a problem with Ajovy. Beause Katie Is so knowledgeable she picked up on this. I am so grateful for her care.

Very clear in explaining the answers to the problem.
I had concerns about my ears and my sinus. She took a look in my ears but never looked in my nose, eyes or anything. She stated that my issues are from my allergies and quickly took me out to schedule with an allergist. I had documentation from my previous allergist she never asked to see them. She literally told me my issues is due to allergies. I told her so get clogged ears when I eat and as a child I had tubes. She never addressed them, she said they're clear now. Never looked at anything else about why I'm always congested. Almost like she didn't want to look into anything. I would go back to an ENT just not her. Still having issues. I felt like she was rushing to get me out. She walked me out to schedule with an allergist and left me there and never seen her again. TERRIBLE
