Biography
My interests led me to a variety of experiences. Most of my dietetics career, I have been a diabetes educator in both rural and large teaching hospital settings from Indiana to Michigan. In my nutrition therapy encounters, I take the “food first approach” knowing that “food is medicine.” (Hippocrates 400 BC). This guiding principle fuels my interests in cooking, experimenting with recipe substitutions, and growing interesting plants. When not thinking about and preparing food, I enjoy practicing yoga, walking, meditating, visiting family, talking about books with friends or playing with art. I am a mother of two adult children who live too far away.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Kathleen Moore has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
