About Me

As a cardiology nurse practitioner, I specialize in treating patients with cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers and defibrillator implants. I manage conditions including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation.

I love being an advanced practice nurse and can't think of anything I would rather do. My DNP degree affords me a great deal of flexibility. I’m able to work as a clinical expert and teach in an academic setting. I get the best of both worlds! I believe in treating the whole patient and not just the medical condition. I care for patients by assessing their social, emotional and medical needs to provide the best treatment.

I came to Ohio State in 2004 to be part of the opening of the Ross Heart Hospital and I’ve stayed ever since. I enjoy the challenges presented by the complex patients we care for and I love learning something new each day.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, going to movies and traveling. I also spend lots of time with my three sons – watching them play sports and participate in extracurricular activities.
