About Me
I chose to become an Ob/Gyn because this field allows me to develop lasting relationships with my patients and care for them from puberty through menopause. It’s especially gratifying to have the opportunity to be part of the most memorable moments in their lives.
My medical philosophy is to treat every patient as a whole person and as a family member. That includes a focus on evidence-based medicine, physical movement, nutrition and mental well-being. My patients trust me to explain all of their options, engage in open dialogue and be a partner in their health care journeys. This comprehensive approach allows me to personalize care and optimize the health of my patients.
In my practice, I treat patients throughout their reproductive years and beyond. I perform gynecologic surgical procedures, cesarean births and vaginal births. I provide prenatal and postpartum care, hormone therapy, genetic screening and contraception. I also treat patients for menstrual problems, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and vaginitis, and do osteoporosis and cancer screenings. I have a special interest in midlife women’s health and am a certified menopause practitioner.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is a special place to work because it brings together health care team members from all backgrounds and walks of life. This creates a diverse and collaborative culture where everyone can feel supported and focus on providing the best patient care possible.
I love working in academic medicine. In addition to caring for patients, I have the opportunity to teach residents and medical students. During delivery, in the operating room and in the clinic, the teaching environment provides ongoing opportunities to improve patient care and shape the next generation of physicians.
When I’m not seeing patients, I love spending time with my husband, three daughters and our extended family. We enjoy exploring the many outdoor spaces, museums, shows and local restaurants Columbus has to offer. We also like hiking, cycling and traveling.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Love Dr baker! She's so nice and knowledgeable
Dr.baker was thorough and competent.
Dr Baker is great!
Dr Baker is the best! She is warm, approachable, smart, kind, practical, understanding, and everything I could ask in an ob-gyn. I'm 69 so my concerns are more "geriatric" but she was spot on with her advice.
Dr baker is so knowledgeable! I NEVER felt rushed!! She took the time that my appt required! She listened!!! You saw compassion on her face! I felt heard!
She was excellent, knowledgeable, reassuring, confident she could help me, took time to explain what was happening to me, gave me hope.
Very good.
She really wanted to make sure I understood.
Dr. Baker was exceptional. She understood what I was experiencing. She didn't just tell me what to do, she outlined the options and the pros and cons of each.

I was amazed at the amount of time she spent with me & how quickly follow up actions were taken! Awesome!
Dr. Baker is a fantastic provider. She's kind, listens well, explains things clearly (and without panic or heightened emotion), and she's easy to talk to. We feel very fortunate to have her guiding us through our first pregnancy!
