About Me
I chose to become an Ob/Gyn because this field allows me to develop lasting relationships with my patients and care for them from puberty through menopause. It’s especially gratifying to have the opportunity to be part of the most memorable moments in their lives.
My medical philosophy is to treat every patient as a whole person and as a family member. That includes a focus on evidence-based medicine, physical movement, nutrition and mental well-being. My patients trust me to explain all of their options, engage in open dialogue and be a partner in their health care journeys. This comprehensive approach allows me to personalize care and optimize the health of my patients.
In my practice, I treat patients throughout their reproductive years and beyond. I perform gynecologic surgical procedures, cesarean births and vaginal births. I provide prenatal and postpartum care, hormone therapy, genetic screening and contraception. I also treat patients for menstrual problems, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and vaginitis, and do osteoporosis and cancer screenings. I have a special interest in midlife women’s health and am a certified menopause practitioner.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is a special place to work because it brings together health care team members from all backgrounds and walks of life. This creates a diverse and collaborative culture where everyone can feel supported and focus on providing the best patient care possible.
I love working in academic medicine. In addition to caring for patients, I have the opportunity to teach residents and medical students. During delivery, in the operating room and in the clinic, the teaching environment provides ongoing opportunities to improve patient care and shape the next generation of physicians.
When I’m not seeing patients, I love spending time with my husband, three daughters and our extended family. We enjoy exploring the many outdoor spaces, museums, shows and local restaurants Columbus has to offer. We also like hiking, cycling and traveling.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2022, Dr. Baker has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Lauren did a great job providing additional educational resources for me regarding menopause. It is comforting to know this is an Interst of hers.
Professional, provided great materials to read & know my history before the appt.
Felt like my appointment was rushed/no clear exit instructions.
Loved her! So happy to find a doctor with this specialty who truly listened, gave advice & was compassionate.
She gave me hope and made a dream I never thought could happen possible I am happy with her work
She is a fantastic provider! Absolutely the best. Thoughtful, considerate, efficient, and thorough.
I saw a different provider for this visit & she made me feel very comfortable & explained things very well.
I needed all of these lines to talk highly of Dr. Baker. She was kind, understanding, actually listened to me and made my visit exceptionally comfortable. She is by far the best OB dr. I have ever seen. I will not go to anyone else.

5 stars - many thanks.
Friendly, thoughtful.
Professional, explained medication, concern for comfort of exam
Very impressed with Dr. Baker. She is the first physician who really has understood PCOS and understood how a 35 year old professional might struggle with some of the side effects of it. She treated me as a person, explained items in detail, spent time answering my questions and referred me to dermatology and for a consult for fertility specialists.
Very kind and knowledgeable
Seems like she wants to move on to the next patient. Isn't always as thorough as I wish she was.
Wow. I am so happy/lucky to have Dr. Baker as a provider. I was nervous going into the appointment as it was my first prenatal visit and my first visit with her. All my nerves went away when she came into the room. I was completely as ease the entire appointment. She was so kind, respectful, and thorough and it felt like we became fast friends. She explained everything to my husband and I and walked us through everything. We talked through all the questions my husband and I had and she asked multiple times if we had any other questions. She spent a lot of time with us and didn't make me feel rushed at all. It really felt like she left no rock unturned. I am just so impressed and I look forward to following with her through my whole pregnancy.
She was great and made me feel very comfortable.
Very good experience. She had taken the time to read my history & made helpful suggestions.
