Biography

I am Leanne B. Kelly, OT/L, an occupational therapist. I specialize in occupational therapy for orthopedic and neurological conditions. My practice focuses on helping individuals regain function, improve safety and independence, and return to the activities that are most important to them.

As an occupational therapist with decades of experience, I am passionate about helping patients overcome challenges related to musculoskeletal and neurological diagnoses. I work with individuals across a wide range of conditions, developing personalized treatment plans that support recovery, functional improvement, and long-term independence.

My areas of expertise include orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, hand and upper extremity conditions, neurological therapy, and functional capacity evaluations (FCEs). I am certified to perform functional capacity evaluations for individuals who need return-to-work assessments, workplace accommodation recommendations, or disability determination support. I also fabricate custom orthoses and provide specialized treatment for a variety of hand and upper extremity diagnoses.

In addition to patient care, I have contributed to advancing conservative treatment approaches for hand arthritis. As part of a research team, I helped develop CHAMPS, a structured hand arthritis management program designed to improve function, reduce pain and support joint integrity and movement. The program includes a clinical care guideline, published research and practical resources that can be used by clinicians to enhance patient care.

I am committed to partnering with patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them achieve meaningful goals and return to the activities they value most.
