About Me
I am a pulmonologist at the OSUCCC – James, and care for patients with a variety of pulmonary, or lung, conditions and diseases. I see patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings, including our intensive care unit.
My medical education first began at Ohio State. I then completed my residency training in Internal Medicine, followed by additional training as a fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I also received a post-doctoral diploma in clinical and translational science from the same facility.
I was a co-investigator for a clinical trial and pursued multiple other research endeavors while at Mayo Clinic, and am now continuing my research here at Ohio State. My primary clinical and research interests are alveolar hemorrhage, pulmonary vasculitis, and pulmonary manifestations of other systemic inflammatory diseases. I have authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and abstracts.
I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I’m delighted to be back at Ohio State where I get to work with and learn from many of the finest physicians in the U.S.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2022, Dr. Fussner has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Very good. No complaints.
She always listens very carefully and wants to hear my concerns.
She takes good care of me. This was an annual appt. and am scheduled for a CAT scan in Feb. She is my pulmonologist. Great doctor.
Always very thoughtful and attentive. When visit was delayed, she let me know that there was a delay.
Dr Fussner always listens attentively. I have the utmost confidence in her.
Dr. Fussner really listens. As I've seen doctors in the past, OSU docs as a whole tend to listen better and ask the right questions. I enjoyed meeting her and Dr. Taylor, who dropped in to chat as well.
My care provider is always kind & attentive.
Good.
Dr. Fussner is one of the most caring doctors that I have had. I have only seen her twice but you can talk to her about anything not related to my health concerns and she takes the time to listen and really cares.
