About Me
I am a pulmonologist at the OSUCCC – James, and care for patients with a variety of pulmonary, or lung, conditions and diseases. I see patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings, including our intensive care unit.
My medical education first began at Ohio State. I then completed my residency training in Internal Medicine, followed by additional training as a fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I also received a post-doctoral diploma in clinical and translational science from the same facility.
I was a co-investigator for a clinical trial and pursued multiple other research endeavors while at Mayo Clinic, and am now continuing my research here at Ohio State. My primary clinical and research interests are alveolar hemorrhage, pulmonary vasculitis, and pulmonary manifestations of other systemic inflammatory diseases. I have authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and abstracts.
I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I’m delighted to be back at Ohio State where I get to work with and learn from many of the finest physicians in the U.S.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/29/2023, Dr. Fussner has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Dr. Lynn Fussner is wonderful. Sometimes -- especially with conditions that won't be cured, only managed -- practitioners just do the same old thing each time. I love that Dr. Fussner not only listens to me; she adds information that could help my breathing improve. Her suggestion last year for respiratory therapy was a great one. She was the first to offer that although I'd had this condition for 5 years. Her information during this visit about a coming change in Fasenra prescribing protocols could be another great advancement in my care. I like that she not only is on top of such changes; she was thinking of how it might help me.
Good, as always.
One of the best providers that I see!
Dr. Fussner is a great listener. I feel like I'm heard.
Very good doctor!!!
Dr. Fussner spent a great deal of time with my husband and I, discussing recommendations, medications, and treatments. She answered all of our many questions very thoroughly.
Nothing bad about Dr. Fussner at all!
