Biography
As a general psychiatrist, I treat and manage a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and trauma-related disorders. I have a special interest in women’s behavioral health, with an emphasis on pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, premenstrual disorders and oncologic processes specific to women.
I have additional expertise in psychotherapy, specifically psychodynamic-oriented psychotherapy and how it can be used alone or in combination with medication management strategies. I believe there is value in talking about and exploring the patterns in one’s life that may impact current-day symptoms.
My patients can expect an individualized and collaborative approach to their care. I work with each patient to help them discover the reasons for and the meanings behind their symptoms. I value the longitudinal relationship formed in the outpatient setting and look forward to this collaboration with each of my patients.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Paskell has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
