I use robotic surgery and minimally invasive techniques as often as possible to improve recovery time for the patient. Presently I'm working to develop our robotic gastric surgery program. Additionally I serve as an assistant professor of internal medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
My passion is to help patients through their illness by giving them the very best clinical care, while also researching these diseases to better treat or prevent them in the future. I’m currently investigating circulating tumor DNA in patients with pancreatic cancer and cystic lesions of the pancreas. We’re also evaluating adjuvant systemic therapies in metastatic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors.
It’s a privilege to be affiliated with The James. Working with this world-class team allows me to give patients the very best care. Because of our status as a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, we’re able to enroll patients in clinical trials and offer them the most advanced therapies. It’s gratifying to know we’ve helped a cancer patient through a big part of their treatment. It’s also an honor to be there in their time of need.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies, etc. because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 03/25/2016, Dr. Dillhoff has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies, etc. If you have questions about how these relationships are monitored by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, please contact our Compliance Office at 614-293-7802.
