Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Matthew Burford has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Dr. Burford was thorough and took a detailed history of my problem as well as a complete exam. He had my test results from a previous provider available to discuss. He answered all my questions.
All good
The doctor and team was excellent.
The provider.dug deep into my condition and is going to get his team to work out the condition
Dr Burford was quite honest and straightforward regarding the possibility of my neuropathy improving greatly. Several things were discussed, and it will take time to try different options.
He was very thorough and explained everything very well. He allowed me to ask questions without feeling rushed or unheard.
Very friendly and knowledgeable
Very thorough
Dr. Burford is awesome as he is very easy to talk to and discusses details in easy to understand terms. He is very caring and truly seems concerned about your health. Last appointment I had with him, he took the time to discuss a couple of non related issues I was having and gave me a plan for one and set up a referral with another doctor for the other. He has my myasthenia gravis issue in total remission, which has had a great effect on my quality of life. Five star plus!
Dr. Buford is a good listener. He's a good doctor. He cares about me and I can recommend him always.
