Biography
I am Cole Romney, MD, and I specialize in anesthesiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on providing safe, personalized anesthesia care and pain management for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
As an anesthesiologist at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I ensure that my patients feel informed, comfortable and supported throughout their surgeries. Surgery can be a stressful time, and I strive to provide compassionate care while prioritizing patient safety at every step.
I chose a career in anesthesiology because of the vital role it plays in patient care and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ surgical outcomes. I work closely with surgeons, nurses and other members of the care team to develop individualized anesthesia plans that support each patient’s unique needs and overall well-being.
I am committed to staying at the forefront of advances in anesthesiology through ongoing professional development and continuing education. Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Matthew Romney has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
