I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in general and gastrointestinal surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I provide care for patients with abdominal wall conditions, hernias and reflux disorders. My patients can rely on me for high quality, compassionate care and honest communication in every encounter.
I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of skilled experts to ensure each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs and values. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about educating and mentoring the next generation of providers.

You need more providers like Melissa
Melissa Hines showed had experience with stoma's. She looked at my feeding tube and said the skin around my tube was angry. She replaced the tube and tried to notify my surgeon to get permission to take the tube out and leave it out, since I'm eating all my food by mouth. Surgeon didn't respond.

The care provider was very nice and seemed had a genuine concern about my cyst ( abdominal) bulge . She referred me to a specialist to have the cyst removed and I pray - after 4 years she has found the answer to my long term issues.
