Biography

I am Mia Antinone, MD, and I specialize in family medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on caring for patients of all ages, helping individuals and families build lifelong foundations for health and wellness.

I believe every patient deserves compassionate, personalized care. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is developing lasting relationships with patients and families and supporting them through every stage of life. I am passionate about helping people improve their health through sustainable lifestyle changes including nutrition, physical activity and other habits that support both mind and body.

As a board-certified specialist in Culinary Medicine, I have a special interest in helping patients better understand how food choices affect chronic disease and well-being. I also have experience in women's health, adolescent health, pediatric care and continuous glucose monitor (CGM) management. My goal is to empower patients with practical tools and knowledge they can use to make informed decisions about their health.

My interest in family medicine was inspired by mentors who demonstrated the impact a primary care physician can have on individuals, families and communities. That experience shaped my commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and deepened my passion for preventive medicine and healthy living.

At The Ohio State University College of Medicine, I serve as an assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Professional achievements that have been especially meaningful to me include earning board certification in Culinary Medicine and being recognized for excellence in teaching and education.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy running, baking birthday cakes and taking road trips with my family. I am always looking for a great new recipe to share.

Consulting and related relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 11/3/2025, Mia Antinone has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
