Biography
As a podiatrist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in foot and ankle ailments and injuries, and my interests include wound care, reconstructive surgery and sports medicine.
I strive to provide my patients with individualized care that is specific to both their needs and expectations in order to optimize their health and recovery. I sincerely enjoy the impact that I am able to make in my patients’ lives. It is gratifying to see great results and know that I am helping to improve someone’s quality of life.
What I enjoy most about working here at Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center is the team approach that we use to provide patient care.
I like to spend my free time enjoying the outdoors and relaxing with my family.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Excellent care and advice
He is extremely willing to listen to concerns and respects his patients wishes. He does his best to answer all questions honestly, even if some answers don't always have a clear answer. Due to the power outage that day he was unable to review My Chart, he was very honest and asked me about a past dx. It impressed me that he wanted that information and was unable to get it through normal means, but he found a way to get the Info.

Dr Anthony is a great doctor. It's been 4 or more years that I have seen him and I had to take a new patient exam because of that but he remembered me and my late husband that he also treated. Coming to see Dr Anthony was like coming to see an old friend.

I really feel he listens and then responed with exercise and information about use of pads to cushion my feet. The exercised and protective pads have really helped my feet, eliminating the pain I was feeling . He reduced my callouses and trimmed my nails also

My appointment lasted 3 minutes. It felt rushed and dismissed. The prescribed medication has helped which I appreciate. However, I waited a month and a half for this appointment and it was discouraging to feel rushed. He was not very friendly or caring

I thought the doc might actually touch my feet to help determine sources of pain or assess mechanics but he did not . He said he was fighting allergies and kept far away. He left the room saying he was getting a couple things for me and never came back . I didn't realize we were all done. I was told by the physical trainer that the doc would probably look at X-rays before he left for the day. I was hoping for an interpretation on X-rays but have not heard any feedback at all from provider.

This physician is a sweetheart of a human being--very caring and competent.
He didn't want to take the time to listen to me when I kept telling him the nodule beside my toe didn't happen because it was rubbing my other toes. They had a space between them. It no longer has a space because that thing grew in between them.That I tried absolutely everything that you can buy in stores for my feet and he still just put a cream on them. Just what... I still have a problem and will have to go back.

My doctor was polite, cheerful, good listener, and thorough in communication of following up when necessary. My doctor also provided two wraps for my hammertoe to decrease pain, provide comfort and aid in healing and correction of abnormality of toe.

Dr Anthony is the best! He always answers emails in less than 24 hours. He always gets me in fast when I really need to. I have no other health care provider who does that. He always listens and spends time but he's also very informative and reassuring. His philosophy is to keep people moving. I have a physical job so that is much appreciated. I can't say enough good things about him. I have referred others to him. I wish all my health care providers were like him. I completely trust him.

Awesome! Dr. Anthony far exceeded my expectations. He was a good listener, personable, offered many conservative treatment options and recommendations, and made me feel hopeful about pain I've been managing for 20 years. He even gave me little pads to wear out of his office. I experienced instant pain relief!

I was hoping for an m r I for my toe, but was told it was Arthritis.
This was my first visit with Dr Anthony for a foot problem. He was wonderful. I will keep him as my podiatrist for anything that comes up.
Dr Anthony explained exactly what to expect with the cortisone shot and fenestration, and it went just as he explained it would. Also, the treatment was very effective (which was amazing because lots of other things have not been working).
Dr. Anthony is one of the kindest yet most professional doctors I have ever met. He will always go above and beyond to help you in any way possible. He actually listens when I talk and that's not something you can find anymore. I may have to wait a few more minutes for my appointment, but I know I'm waiting because he is doing for another patient exactly what I would want him to do for me, which is not to shuffle me through like cattle in a chute, just seeing how many patients he can see in one day. I'm very grateful that he was on call when I needed a foot surgeon.

The doc suggested a non-invasive treatment first, possible surgery if unsuccessful. I liked his approach to treatment.

I asked to be referred to Columbus. I wasn't content on what local foot dr had to say . Your provider looked over my chart . Told me what was wrong with my feet and legs , and why . He also had a plan on treatment in steps . If one didn't work move on to next till it was not bothersome . So far first step is helping .

I would rate him excellent also. He provides excellent care. He has phenomenal knowledge but is very easy to talk with about medical subjects and general subjects like the OSU and Oregon game.

The doctor didn't seem to listen when I was trying to explain how I injured my foot, where the pain was, how often I was in pain. He just came in and started filing down a callus thinking that was the problem. He didn't take time to explain anything to me and didn't. The only thing he did right was to order an MRI when I told him his shaving down my callus didn't stop my pain.
He gives me a painful cortisone injection at my visits. He always attempts to use procedures to lessen the pain as much as possible.

Dr Michael Anthony is an awesome doctor. I was recommended to him through my family doctor. And he took the time of the patients to explain my options about my ankle pain. And the cortisone shots have worked excellent I'm on my third shot he is a fantastic doctor and very patient kind and considerate. He takes the time to listen to me and talk slowly because I'm hearing impaired. I look forward to seeing him every 3 months for a follow-up and if needed I can reach out to him before that.

Dr Anthony could not tell me why I had this condition which I understand is possible with medicine. But when a doctor tells me he doesn't need to do surgery because he is busy enough without having to do surgery on me. So unprofessional!!!
