I am that proverbial young patient with an old joint, so I’m invested in the patient who wants to remain physically active throughout his or her life. I'm particularly interested in regenerative medicine and helping patients heal and recover from within when possible.

My background in sports medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation allows me to merge an understanding of both the neurologic system and musculoskeletal system to uncover solutions for my patients. I understand that sometimes medical terminology can be confusing – particularly as I work in some advanced therapeutics such as platelet-rich plasma and bone marrow aspirate concentrate for sports and musculoskeletal ailments. I focus on thoroughly communicating the treatment plan so patients are comfortable and can make informed decisions.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/25/2016, Dr. Baria has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
