About Me
I am a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who specializes in treating brain injuries. I see patients across the spectrum of brain injury, from sports-related concussions and headaches to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries and disorders of consciousness.
When patients come to see me, they can trust that I will work collaboratively with them to customize a treatment plan that best fits their needs and values. I have extensive experience in both nonpharmacologic and neuropharmacological therapies to treat brain injury-related issues. I also provide baclofen pump management to help treat conditions like spasticity, and offer trigger point and botulinum toxin injections.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m excited to participate in research opportunities here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My background is in biomedical engineering, and I was active in research efforts throughout my training. I am also proud to help train future physicians in my role as a faculty member in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Guthrie has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
