About Me
When diagnosing a patient, I like to find the root of the pain or limitation. Anyone can diagnose a stress fracture, but I like to know what is causing it and why it is there. The diagnosis is often simple, but determining the root of the problem is essential.
I specialize in medical care for athletes. To me, an athlete can be anyone serious about becoming or maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Whether your goal is to make it to the big leagues or simply walk your dog around the block, I want to help you reach your goals.
I try to treat every patient who walks in my door as a member of my own family. When creating a treatment plan, I consider the patient an essential part of the decision-making team. I offer several treatment options that I think can be effective. Together, the patient and I devise a plan to meet his or her specific needs.

Both Dr. Jonesco, and his fellow (Dr. Baker, I believe) were very kind. They answered all my questions, and attempted to explain some complicated medical issues to me. Though I had only seen him that one time, Dr. Jonesco made himself available to me via MyChart for future communications, including questions.

First time meeting Jonesco. He was friendly, thorough, and easy to talk to.
He knew I was in pain when my shoulder moved in the wrong direction and offered to give me a shot in my shoulder during this visit. The Shot helped my other shoulder, and he wanted to get me relief right away.
The doctor asked me multiple times if I had any questions and involved me in determining the treatment plan. I really appreciated this.

First thing he said was how excited he was to get out of there and start vacay. He never asked about my lifestyle which might affect my condition and I just left there feeling like it had been a waste of time and money to not have had a more sympathetic provider.

Dr. Jonesco, using an image of my knee clearly explained "why" I was experiencing the pain and his recommendation to provide relief with NO guarantees. He then explained next steps should the treatment not work. I felt confident in his treatment as he understands any knee replacement is not preferred. The doctor clearly understands my goals of continued bicycling with my wife and stroller walks with my granddaughter and treats my condition to that result. Although direct and to the point, he is always pleasant and easy to talk with.

Dr. Jonesco looked at my previous visit, look at new X-ray, did a thorough exam, He identified probable cause for the issue and discussed my plan for recovery. He gave me an exercise plan and a detailed prescription request for PT. He even showed me a video about how to use a cane properly, since this was my first time using a cane. He asked me to message him in two week to evaluate if further treatmentand if MRI was needed.

I had a better experience with Dr. Jonesco than the two other orthopaedic physicians I had previously met with (at OSU's Walk-In Clinic). I was there to investigate the root cause of my recurring problem, and he seemed to share that mission more than most doctors, rather than making assumptions based on the most common causes/solutions seen in their office. Please give him a raise.
