Biography
I am a sports medicine physician specializing in the nonsurgical treatment of sports injuries, tendon and muscle injuries and bone stress injuries. My practice at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center focuses on helping athletes and active individuals recover from injury, return to activity and perform at their highest levels.
I believe that understanding why an injury occurred is just as important as making the diagnosis. I work closely with patients to identify the factors contributing to an injury, and I develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for them that restore function, promote recovery and reduce the risk of injury recurrence.
My clinical interests include sports injuries, tendinopathy, muscle injuries and stress fractures. I care for patients across all levels of activity, from recreational athletes to high school, collegiate and professional competitors. Whether I am helping someone return to sport after an acute injury or helping someone manage a chronic overuse condition, my goal is to provide evidence-based care that supports their long-term health and performance.
A particular focus of my practice is musculoskeletal ultrasound and advanced nonsurgical treatments for persistent sports injuries and tendon disorders. When appropriate, I incorporate ultrasound-guided procedures, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) and Tenex® percutaneous ultrasonic tenotomy into comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Outstanding experience
Dr Jonesco is great. In the past, I saw him for hip issues, He successfully treated my injuries with PRP injections so I was able to continue PT and ride bikes again. He did an evaluation, asked more questions and even manipulated my body which really helped a lot. We discussing my new issues with my SI joint and back. He then referred me to a specialist from the OSU spine clinic for this issue. I am grateful he referred me so I can get the best treatment for my spine and SI joint.
