About Me
I am a general surgeon and the medical director of the Robotic General Surgery program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I am passionate about this field because it allows me to integrate advanced therapeutic endoscopy and surgical robotic techniques, which are minimally invasive and can improve patient outcomes.
When patients come to see me, they can expect a personalized approach that is tailored to their individual needs and values because no case is the same. They can always rely on me to leverage the most innovative surgical technology available to ensure the best results possible.
The surgical robotics program here at Ohio State is nationally recognized for excellence, and I am proud to have been part of that growth. I have performed well over 1,000 robotic surgeries over the past decade, and I am excited about what’s next in this field. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am actively involved in clinical trials to shape the future of minimally invasive surgery and ensure our patients always receive the most modern and effective treatments available.
I am also proud to help train the next generation of physicians. My extensive academic experience has fostered a deep understanding of the integration between surgical practice and educational excellence. This has guided my career toward developing surgical education programs and enhancing robotic surgery protocols to improve both patient outcomes and teaching methods.
My role includes serving as a clinical associate professor of surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I am also the educational liaison for the surgical residency programs, and I lead various educational initiatives focused on surgical simulation and robotic surgery.
