Explained how the possible surgery would take place. Which was good
Dr. Meara shared all the pertinent information regarding my upcoming surgery. He showed us the images from the CT scan and explained everything in ways we could understand. He explained the options we had regarding the types of surgery that were available and what he believed was the best option for me and my personal situation. He was also very compassionate, understanding and encouraging about the task of losing weight and acknowledged the hard work that I've done to get to a healthier weight in order to get the surgery.
Both doctors were very concerned how I felt. They also commented how long I have had these problems.
I feel that he listened well and tried to be understanding and comforting. Spent time and was patient. Dismissed too quickly the pain sensation our facial system can have on our bodies, because it can not be imaged.
Doctor was extremely caring and professional.
