Biography

I'm a dual board-certified vascular and interventional radiologist with expertise in interventional oncology, complex hepatobiliary care, genitourinary interventions, venous disease and advanced reconstruction, visceral arterial disorders, women's health including uterine fibroid care, pain management, vascular and dialysis access, and diagnostic imaging. I perform the latest minimally invasive approaches to provide patients with better outcomes, shorter recovery time and reduced complications. I am privileged to be a part of each patient’s care and treatment journey. My care philosophy centers on listening to my patients, addressing their concerns and treating them as I would want a member of my family treated.

I particularly enjoy taking care of cancer patients and providing comprehensive care, from the initial biopsy and chemotherapy port placement, to locoregional therapies including TACE/TAE/TARE and ablations, and lastly to palliative therapies. I employ a multidisciplinary approach to provide patients with an individualized treatment plan and the best possible care. I partner with each of my patients so together we can achieve their treatment goals and support them throughout their treatment journey.

I also have expertise in advanced venous interventions, including endovascular reconstructions of chronically occluded veins, management of deep venous thrombosis and IVC filters, and parathyroid venous sampling, and I have been recognized for my pioneering work in all three areas. Additionally, I have a particular interest in minimally invasive embolization therapy of symptomatic uterine fibroids, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and painful knee osteoarthritis. It's a true joy and privilege to serve patients with these conditions. I have been fortunate to meet and treat thousands of patients from across the United States as well as internationally.

Originally from Columbus, I'm proud to have obtained my MD and completed both my interventional and diagnostic radiology training at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where I served as a chief resident. I'm dual board-certified in interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology, and I serve on the faculty of The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I'm passionate about academics and research, quality improvement and technology, and leadership and service.

Through collaborative research, I strive to find better therapies and cures for my current and future patients. I have authored over 200 scholarly papers, abstracts, and book chapters, and I have presented at national and regional conferences on the latest interventional therapies. I have been recognized for my contributions to the field by prestigious research honors, academic awards and grants, and my innovative work has been featured in multiple news media outlets. As a recognition of my efforts in this area, I serve as director of scholarly activity and research in the Department of Radiology.

I also serve in a variety of leadership roles, as well as on institutional and national committees, to contribute to the advancement of the field and advocate for patients and their medical needs. I'm a member of several professional societies, including the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), the Society of Interventional Oncology (SIO), the American College of Radiology (ACR), the Society of Vascular Medicine (SVM), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, drawing, classical music, choir singing, jogging, and volunteering in the community.
