Biography
Punit Agrawal, DO, is a neurologist and clinical assistant professor of neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. His clinical focus is the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia and other movement disorders. Dr. Agrawal has specific clinical interest in the use of deep brain stimulation therapy for the treatment of approved movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease, tremor and primary dystonia. He also is trained and practices treatment of focal dystonia with botulinum toxin therapy. He is involved in clinical research trials for movement disorders and also neuromodulation.
Dr. Agrawal earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine at the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He completed both his residency in neurology and fellowship in movement disorders at Ohio State. He joined the Neurology faculty at Ohio State in July 2007.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. He was a little upset about my lack of taking my medicine. However, he listened to me and understood what was happening. He helped me to understand more about the medication along with how and when to take it. I'm grateful for his help.

I have seen two other neurologist at a different health care system. Their examinations and their questions were very superficial and they weren't much help to me. Dr. Agrawal performed a thorough examination and got to the root of my neurological condition. He addressed concerns that I have had since I was a child (I am 66 years old).

First thing he said to me was very insulting. Not friendly and rushed me out. Never discussed why I was sent to him. I had questions but never got to ask.
Provider eventually assessed my records and completed an adequate evaluation. However, upon initial visit was condescending and not a conducive demeanor to evaluating my situation. Thankfully, it concluded with what I needed to know.

I wish he was my PCP. He is so easy to talk to and I feel like i'm actually being listened to. Most times I just let the provider handle my care without asking questions or talking about what I want or would like to do. I told him about some of the precautions I take and how I was doing a little bit of research on epilepsy just to increase my knowledge. We ended up talking about what type of seizure mine would be classified as. Every time I see him I feel like I am seeing an old friend.

Mostly great. However, didn't feel like he reviewed my medical files before entering the exam room. We had to remind him of things or he asked questions we already felt with previously. But once we reminded him or he read his notes in the exam room he was good

Truly I am so grateful for your care. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to figure out my issues and you finally gave me the closure I needed. I cannot thank you enough. He was the rudest doctor I've ever seen. I still had a few questions/concerns I wanted to discuss and he literally told me to stand up and showed me out the door. I thought he was taking me to another room for testing, instead he walked me to the checkout desk. He also did not explain my diagnosis. He couldn't get me out of the office fast enough. I've never written a bad review before. I left the building in tears. I felt so dismissed. I had waited 5 months for testing and to see him again. That's 5 months wasted.

Dr Agrawal is awesome
The neurologist was wonderful. I have seen two neurologist at a different health-care system. They performed perfunctory examinations, didn't monitor my 100% occluded right internal carotid artery, and told me that there was nothing they could do for me until I had "stroke-like symptoms" (i.e., a stroke). The OSU neurologist performed a much more thorough examination, during which he found previously undetected nerve damage. He ordered testing, including imaging of my carotid arteries. He explained the treatment protocol for blocked internal arteries to me, rather than telling me that they will provide treatment only if I have a stroke (I have already had two mini-strokes). The OSU neurologist showed concern for my welfare and he listened to me.

I always look forward to my visits with Dr. Argawal. He's the most pleasant provider I work with and I see numerous providers for chronic health issues. He knows my case from visit to visit like he takes the time to read his notes and others notes before coming in so that we're not discussing my history but moving forward to new/different issues. He's straightforward in explaining my illness to me always allowing me time to ask questions without feeling rushed. This visit I was put on a complex medication regimen and he took his time explaining it to me and even gave me my notes for help if I have questions when I get home.

Dr. Agrawal always takes the time to understand how my stimulators are working & any issues I'm having related to the devices. He then works to determine optimum settings for my situation(s).
First a little short, but I needed to listen to him. To much information, I was afraid I'd forget.
He was very thorough testing me physically and caught something I forgot that has been problem for sometime now, it wasn't on my list of symptoms I had made prior to my visit.
Dr. Agrawal listened to my concerns about the difficulty swallowing I experienced after my lasr Botox injections. He was careful to alter the injection sites accordingly this time.

I have seen him twice with my husband with me. Both occasions we agree that he is the most unpleasant and rude provider we have met at OSU. He roughly snatched my small list of questions from my hand and refused to give it back and called me a nervous nelly. We did not react. After he said what he wanted to say he stood up and left with no warning. It was awful. I cried all the way home.

I absolutely think this doctor is the bomb, which means he is great! He totally listened, and I believe he is the first one to hit the nail on the head after 30 years of dealing with a headache! He spent as much time as he needed to with me without ever seeming rushed. Very personable as well. Treated me with respect. I have abundance of symptoms because of comorbidities. But he sorted through them and totally figured out this headache. And he didn't disregard me as being too difficult as most doctors have. I have already been improving greatly in the last three months since his treatment Protocol started. Can't say more about him. Except for my husband even really likes him and my husband doesn't like any Dr.!
