Biography
I am a residency trained, Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy passionate about excellence in orthopaedic and sports care, clinical education, and community health. I enjoy working with patients of all ages, empowering and equipping everyone to lead an active lifestyle. From managing post-surgical care, work injuries, to return to competitive sport, my attention to detail helps patients understand their injuries and their path to recovery. In addition to patient care, I work as an adjunct professor, write test questions for board certification exams, serve as a clinical instructor, and volunteer in the community. Outside of the clinic I enjoy gardening, hiking, and reading.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Rachel Gilbert has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
