About Me
As a primary care physician, I am there to guide and educate my patients. Patients have a responsibility to themselves and their families to engage in their own care. I want them to be as healthy as possible. I also want to help patients manage their chronic disease and provide self-management support.
Although I practice complete family medicine, I have an interest in improving blood pressure control in the primary care setting. I’m also interested in sports medicine and health care policy.
What I enjoy most about The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is the ability to be on the forefront of innovations in care as well as working as a team with other health care providers.
In my spare time, I enjoy attending Ohio State football games, traveling with my wife, playing with my dog, watching movies and running.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2022, Dr. Wexler has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Beyond question, the best.
Dr. Weller is outstanding in every respect: knowledgeable, caring, thorough.
Good listener and sound advice about blood test I would need and prescription changes
Dr. Wexler is absolutely outstanding!
Great
Dr Wexler is the best!
I have been going to Dr. Wexler for many years. I feel very comfortable talking with him about any issues. He has always given me great referrals as well.
Provider rarely looked up from the computer. Seemed more intent on getting through a checklist on the screen then actually looking at me. Follow up messaging/recommendations were confusing and initially contradictory. Finally, when, over myChart messaging, it was concluded that I would try a prescription, it took the provider another day and a half to "call it in" to the pharmacy. The provided seemed more interested in continuing the dialog over issues via the frustratingly asynchronous MyChart than an actual discussion where there can be a back and forth. I feel that questions I had during the visit which were promised answers via MyChart were never satisfactorily answered.
Listened. Explained. Offered options. Followed up via Message
Dr Wexler has been my PC physician for 25 years and my wife's for maybe 5 or 6 years.
I have been a patient of Dr. Wexler for over 20 years. In the past two years, OSU Medicine did not accept our ACA insurance plan so we saw other doctors. The experience was terrible. I am extremely happy to be back in Dr. Wexler care. He is by far the best doctor I have seen in my adult life.
Very good
I still have back pain. I was told to sleep with a pillow between my legs.
Always good. I drive 2 hrs to keep Dr Wexler as primary care physician
Dr. Wexler always answers my questions to my satisfaction.
Excellent and compassionate provider. Extremely knowledgeable and explained things very well. Shared additional resources via myChart. Didn't leave the room without asking if I had any additional questions.
My experience with my care provider has always been positive. He is always kind and thoughtful.
Care provider was encouraging about my test results, which were within normal range.
Doctor first asked about my wife who has terminal brain tumor. Was nice that he did that prior to dealing with my health issues.
I have always felt like I've gotten the best care possible
Good and informative
For some reason, Dr. Wexler was unfriendly and brusque during this visit. Not clear why as have seen him be kind and friendly in the past.
Always takes the time to listen and advise. Always gives clear answers that are easy to understand.
Again I had no bad experience
Quoted the National Standard Medical guidelines for all my questions.
Has been my PC physician for more than 20 years, have never had a bad experience.
Dr. Wexler is the best. I appeciate his approach to providiing me with the information I need to make decisions about my health care.
All good & nothing bad.
On time. Good listener.
Seems annoyed by my questions and how I express myself
Dr. Wexler is a very good provider who listens carefully to any concerns I have. He is very professional and personable.
Dr Wexler is simply the BEST.
He answered my questions and advised me about vaccines for the future.
Top notch doc.
Excellent bedside manner and attention to detail. Always ready for the visit.
My doctor seemed to be very familiar with the medical issue for which I was hospitalized which I appreciated. He already knew my prescription changes as well. Also, he's always on time.
Excellent would not go to anyone else. Very concerned about me.
Dr. Wexler is fantastic. I can't imagine having a better Doc. He's very knowledgeable and explains things clearly and in terms that non-doctors can easily understand.
Dr. Wexler is awesome. He listens to my complaints and works to get to the bottom of the issue. He is always pleasant but direct when he needs to be.
I am an 89 yr. old patient of Dr. Wexler and I simply adore him. He is one of the best physicians I've had in my 89 years. Takes so much time with me and works with each of my other providers to make sure that each phase of my health what ever the issue might be is well taken care of. "A marvelous provider".
Good listener quite sincere with issues I was having.
Dr. Wexler is great. We communicated in advance via OSU MyChart and he was prepared to walk me thru some questions I had.
A good provider is very difficult to find. Dr. Wexler takes more time than I would ever expect to make sure I am comfortable and all questions have been answered. Terrific dr.!
Dr Wexler is amazing. He is concerned, keyed in to your specific situation, and he inspires confidence.
He always seems to be in a hurry but that's probably because you all require him to see too many people in too short a time. As such, I always feel like I'm wasting his time. Otherwise, he's a great physician.
Caring attentive efficient.
Dr. Wexler is the best G.P. I have ever had. He is easy to talk to and knows his business!!
Great as always
I have been seeing different provider since my dr. left. I feel that NO ONE has really been a help to me since he left.
Professional, kind, caring and engaging.
Outstanding
Dr. Wexler is an asset to the OSU Health Care team. He explains clearly why he things what he thinks.
Dr. Wexler, in my opinion, is the best.
As always, outstanding in terms of listening, explaining and providing suggestions and solutions.
The provider was straight and to the point. Gave me an order to do bloodwork and recommended to follow up with radiology for ultrasound.
Dr. Wexler knows our family history and has been amazing since my children were born. He is very trustworthy and we hold him in very high regards.
Knew my history - discussed things casually which helped me relax. Was on time.
Dr. Wexler is always professional, helpful and a good listener. He provides additional information or referrals to specialists as needed.
Asked questions about my scheduled tests and other doctor appointments. Checked on my RX's and sent to pharmacy. Answered questions I had.
Knowledgeable of my medical history, prompt, willing to answer questions, and friendly.
Been a patient of Dr. Wexler for 20+ years - never had a complaint. Listens to me if I have a concern. Knowledgeable and professional.
ALWAYS knows my medical and family history, spends time reviewing my meds and the reason for each, answers all questions while making suggestions or options. I mentioned difficulty swallowing potassium tablets and was provided a list of potassium rich foods to supplement, reassuring to know there is concern and assistance
Dr. Wexler is very easy to talk with.
