Biography
As a neurotologist, I offer noninvasive therapies and perform cranial base and hearing rehabilitation surgeries to help maintain or restore my patients’ hearing. I chose to pursue this field because our hearing and balance systems are complex, and I understand that losing these abilities can be isolating for people. I am passionate about providing dedicated, thoughtful and tireless care for my patients as we work together to improve their health and quality of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, golfing and hiking.

Academics and research
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center provides accessible, world-class care, and I’m proud to be part of this team. We offer the highest quality and level of care to a large population in some of the best facilities in the country, and we strive to further medicine through our research.
My own research is centered on strategies to optimize patient outcomes in cranial base surgery, with a goal of improving quality of life and assisting in clinical decision-making. I also focus on cochlear implantation utilization. I have written more than 40 articles published in peer-reviewed journals, presented my findings at national conferences and received multiple awards for clinical and academic excellence. I serve on several committees at the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, including the Otology & Neurotology Education and Implantable Hearing Devices committees, and I’m a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
