Department: Internal Medicine
I am a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in diagnosing and treating complex heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and other arrhythmias, using advanced electrophysiological techniques and device therapies.
My patients can rely on me for high quality, compassionate care and honest communication in every encounter. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiovascular experts to ensure each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs and values.
I am the physician lead for the inherited arrhythmia clinic, which treats patients with genetic conditions related to arrhythmias and sudden death. Additionally, I collaborate with neurologists and advanced imaging cardiologists to treat patients with neuromuscular conditions that affect the heart. I have worked closely with the advanced practice provider team to develop a clinic which expedites the care of patients with atrial fibrillation.
Please note: Not all physicians schedule patients at each listed location.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I serve as an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I am committed to advancing the field of electrophysiology through education, research, and innovation. I am heavily involved in fellowship education serving as an associate program director for the electrophysiology fellowship. I am involved in multiple clinical trials related to the treatment of arrhythmias and device management of heart failure.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Savona was fantastic! He didn't rush my appt in which I was afraid of and sat and discussed multiple treatment options with me. He respected my wishes on the care route I chose and wasn't pushing the situation. I felt more heard than I was. As a young 25 year old female it is easy to say you are "healthy" or it's just "anxiety" but I am truly grateful he is looking further Into my situation. I truly believe God lead me to the right place!
