Biography
I specialize in peripheral nerve surgery, functional extremity reconstruction and advanced amputation care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
I care for patients with conditions including peripheral nerve injuries, traumatic arm and hand injuries (limb-threatening injuries), loss of function, chronic pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome and complex reconstructive needs. I provide personalized reconstructive and microsurgical treatments. My areas of expertise include nerve surgery, osseointegration, targeted muscle reinnervation, advanced amputation, microsurgery, and limb salvage.
I am passionate about understanding the causes of a patient's pain, dysfunction or functional limitations and developing a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs. I believe every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and kindness, and I get to know each person so that I can fully understand the challenges they face.
Many of the patients I see have lived with their condition for a long time and may have been told there are few options available. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping patients overcome debilitating pain, experience restored function and return to the activities and work that are important to them.
I am also an assistant professor in The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I value the collaborative environment at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. Working alongside experts across specialties allows us to provide advanced, coordinated care through programs focused on orthoplastic reconstruction, limb salvage and advanced amputation care.
