Biography
I am a board-certified anesthesiologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center specializing in obstetric anesthesia while also providing anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical procedures. I am dedicated to ensuring the comfort, dignity and safety of my patients through their perioperative and labor experiences, while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care during some of life’s most important moments.
I have particular clinical interests in obstetric anesthesia and point-of-care ultrasound. Point-of-care ultrasound allows me to use real-time imaging at the bedside to guide procedures and make rapid clinical assessments, helping improve precision, safety, comfort and efficiency of care for my patients. I care for patients across the full spectrum of obstetric complexity, including both routine and high-risk pregnancies, and I work closely with obstetricians, nurses and multidisciplinary care teams to develop individualized anesthesia plans tailored to each patient’s unique medical needs and personal goals. I communicate openly with both my patients and the medical professionals with whom I collaborate to ensure a supportive, informed and patient-centered experience throughout labor and delivery.
I chose a career in anesthesiology because of the unique opportunity to combine technical expertise, critical decision-making and compassionate patient care during pivotal moments for patients and their families. I stay current with advances in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine in order to continue providing the highest standard of safe, evidence-based care.
At the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I value working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled multidisciplinary team focused on delivering exceptional care and optimizing outcomes for every patient.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Aaron, and our two goldendoodles, Noodle and Toffee.
