About Me
As a certified nurse practitioner, I specialize in caring for patients with a wide variety of neuromuscular disorders. I’m passionate about treating patients with conditions including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), myasthenia gravis (MG) and other neuromuscular issues. I regularly perform procedures such as muscle and skin biopsies.
My patients can depend on me to provide compassionate and up-to-date care throughout their health care journey. I’m involved in every aspect of their care from diagnosis to treatment and will help develop a customized care plan tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
I have been involved in research efforts for more than 15 years. I work with clinical research patients on a daily basis and I spend a lot of time working on clinical trials. I currently serve as the sub-investigator for 16 studies in neuromuscular neurology. I’m especially passionate about and heavily involved in ALS clinical research.
I’m a certified clinical research coordinator as recognized by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. I’ve held positions in clinical research including clinical research coordinator, senior research coordinator, research nurse and research nurse manager, and now as a nurse practitioner, sub-investigator. I’ve also presented scientific posters at the American Academy of Neurology, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Cure SMA annual meetings.
When I’m not working, I love hanging out with my son. I enjoy swimming, gardening, spinning, jewelry making and traveling.
