Biography
As a hepatologist at Ohio State, I treat patients with abnormal liver tests, hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver and other liver diseases. I am honored to be part of this interesting field and help patients through a potentially stressful part of their lives. I strive to provide very thorough and attentive care with a focus on every patient's individual goals. Establishing a friendly, trusting relationship with my patients is extremely important.
My favorite part about working here at Ohio State is interacting with so many different people. I enjoy helping people to understand their condition and achieve better health.
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my wife, family and friends. I enjoy running, cross country skiing, music and watching sports of all kinds.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Dr Kelly spent a lot of time learning about my medical issues and talking through a plan of care. He was genuinely interested in my case and offered options for care beyond my gastroenterology issues, as he referred me for genetic counseling due to having three different cancers.
