Biography
I am a fellowship-trained complex benign gynecologic surgeon, I specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of complex benign gynecologic conditions, including chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids. My practice at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center focuses on providing comprehensive, patient-centered care through advanced, minimally invasive surgical techniques and individualized treatment plans.
My patients can expect care that is compassionate, educational for them, and tailored to their unique needs. I believe patients should feel informed and empowered to actively participate in their care, and I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where every individual feels heard, respected, and supported.
As a surgeon for complex benign gynecologic conditions, I use minimally invasive approaches when possible to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes with less discomfort and better recovery time. My surgical expertise includes hysteroscopy, traditional laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (VNOTES). I also offer advanced treatment options, such as Cerene® cryoablation, uterine fibroid radiofrequency ablation using Sonata® or Acessa® technology, and cesarean scar niche (isthmocele) repair. In addition, I provide surgical gender-affirming care.
I chose a career in academic medicine because I value providing exceptional patient care and educating the next generation of physicians. I enjoy mentoring medical students and resident physicians, particularly in gynecologic surgical management, while continuing to provide patient care. When I am not caring for patients, I enjoy sewing, gardening, traveling, and exploring Columbus.

Academics and research
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology within the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I specialize in complex benign gynecology with a research focus advancing our understanding of complex benign gynecologic conditions while improving educational experiences and training for future physicians.
My scholarly interests center on enhancing the care of patients with endometriosis and other complex, benign gynecologic conditions through research that supports innovation, evidence-based practice and improved patient outcomes. I am particularly interested in identifying opportunities to advance diagnosis and treatment strategies and the overall patient experience of those affected by chronic gynecologic disorders.
In addition to my clinical research interests, I am passionate about medical education. As a physician at an academic medical center, I train and mentor medical students and resident physicians while still exploring effective approaches to surgical education, clinical teaching, and learner development. My goal is to contribute to a learning environment that prepares future physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
