About Me
As a urogynecologist, I treat women with various pelvic floor disorders including urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Although these conditions are common in women, they often affect patients’ quality of life. We are able to offer treatment options that can significantly improve how women go about their daily lives. I believe in providing care that is individualized to each patient to help meet her health care goals.
My interests include minimally invasive surgery, surgical outcomes and finding ways to improve patients’ quality of life.
My favorite parts about working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are the people that I work with and the collegial environment.
When I’m not working I love spending time with my family and friends and staying active. I enjoy the outdoors and traveling when I can.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. I had an awful experience with Dr Nekkanti. I thought she was an expert in her practice and worked closely with patients that have reoccurring prolapses and connective tissue disorders. After meeting with her I don't think that is the case at all.
Experience was very comfortable. Enjoyed speaking with her & getting answers I needed.

Dr. Nekkanti has efficient nurses & assistants. I enjoy my appointments. I wish that there was medication or, even better, a treatment for the start of cystitis symptoms that don't become UTI's. I have had disagreements about need for medicines when I get the UTI symptoms. This is not a criticism of Dr. Nekkanti, only an observation about the challenges of dealing w/susceptibility to infections of the bladder or severe reactions in the urethra on whole urinary apparatus.
