At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Kirkby has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
When I left Dr. Kirbys office, I felt terrible because he made me feel that way, honestly he couldn't or didn't answer my questions and then ask me the most ridiculous question that I've ever heard since my Lung Transplant and I just felt like he made me feel bad because of the questions that I was asking and I should be thankful for the new lungs. I requested not to be scheduled with him again.
He was fine.
He answered all our questions and was very helpful
