About Me
I am a gynecologic reconstructive surgeon who specializes in caring for women with pelvic floor disorders. I perform state-of-the-art, minimally invasive surgical procedures as well as offer non-surgical treatments. I also treat issues including urinary tract infections, overactive bladder, birth injuries and vulvar diseases.
I am passionate about my field of medicine because I have seen the negative impact that pelvic floor disorders can have on a woman’s quality of life. Practicing in this field gives me the opportunity to care for women at a vulnerable time and help restore their sense of self.
I want my patients to feel empowered to make informed decisions about their own health care that align with their individual goals and values. When patients come to see me, they can trust that I will ensure they understand their diagnosis and treatment options, and that I will always treat them with thoughtfulness and respect.
My research interests include the urinary microbiome, strategies to improve surgical outcomes, promoting goal-directed patient care and enhancing surgical education. I have participated in and authored several peer-reviewed publications in my field. As part of my mission to advance patient education, I have also organized and conducted seminars on pelvic floor disorders in the central Ohio community.
In addition to my clinical work, one of my most rewarding roles is serving as an educator for medical students, residents, and fellows. I received high -quality training during my own residency program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and that experience instilled in me a desire to pay it forward for the next generation of physician leaders and scientists. Working at The Ohio State University feels like coming home and it is a privilege to work with the exceptional people who helped shape me into the physician I am today.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors and staying active with my husband and three children. I like gardening, baking and traveling.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Dr. Taege is an amazing physician. I am so fortunate to have found a doctor who listens and cares about me and what I feel and think. She never talks down to you and always explains things over and over until you completely understand. Dr.Taege always responds to her mychart messages usually with a phone call. I feel confident in her ability has a great surgeon and I know I'm in the best hands possible.

I am very pleased to have Dr. Taege as my surgeon. She listened very closely to me about the reactions to antibiotics and anesthesia . She called me at 8:15 at night to talk about what I could tolerate with antibiotics and what family would work for me. I am very grateful for her research on me because I am very sensitive to drugs.

Finally a provider that takes me seriously, listens intently, shows me respect, gives me credit for understanding my own body that I have lived in for "many" years and is not only willing, but determined to resolve my multiple and varied issues that have stacked up over the years while others were slapping proverbial band-aids on me and sending me on my way.
I was concerned that I might have a UTI. I was listened to and the appropriate action was taken. This was not part of my regular check up.
