Biography
As a general obstetrician and gynecologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I care for patients across the lifespan. I provide routine gynecological examinations, address menstrual abnormalities, guide patients through pregnancy and childbirth, offer contraception management and help patients navigate menopause.
I love my career because I am passionate about supporting people through some of their most special and vulnerable moments. It’s a privilege getting to know my patients and their families and developing trusting relationships with them. My goal is to ensure each patient has a positive experience and that they feel safe and seen during every visit.
The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center offers an exceptional multidisciplinary approach and access to innovative technologies to ensure the best patient care possible, and I’m proud to be part of this team. I appreciate the commitment to evidence-based medicine, and the focus on research, that enhances the care we can offer our patients.
Another reason I enjoy working here is the opportunity to collaborate with learners and help them reach their goals. It’s an honor to help guide the next generation of providers, especially those who decide to pursue obstetrics and gynecology as a specialty.
Outside of work, I like spending time with friends and family, traveling, checking out coffee shops and restaurants, visiting museums and doing arts and crafts.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

The doctor was very kind and took the time to explain everything to me clearly. She made me feel confident and at ease, and I felt very comfortable throughout my visit.
She is phenomenal, she listens to you
Dr. Mahmoud has always been fabulous! I first met her while getting an ultrasound. I ended up miscarrying, but she was incredibly empathetic. She took the time to answer my husband and I's questions. She made referrals and met with me and answered questions about other things, including a lipoma! She takes the time to respond to my many questions in a way that is easily understandable, and she personally calls me back to better understand context. She treats all my questions as valid. My GP ha not been helpful with some of my questions, but I'm grateful because I ended up getting to be Dr. Mahmoud. I'd give her a million stars if I could, and I'm eternally grateful.

My providers always listen to me and ask me. We make decisions together rather then just telling me what is going to happen. I really appreciate that.
