Biography
As a transplant nephrologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in solid organ transplant and treating those with end-organ failure. My entire career has been devoted to caring for patients who can benefit from organ transplantation. I provide the specialized care that these patients need, even in the most challenging of circumstances.
I believe in treating each patient as if he or she were a member of my own family. I provide them with the best medical care possible in a caring and compassionate manner. I am honest with my patients and make sure that I spend as much time with each patient as he or she might need.
When I’m not working I enjoy relaxing with my family, traveling and skiing.

Dr. Pesavento is an incredibly proficient and knowledgeable nephrologist who, along with transplant coordinator Nicole Pavon, were the most significant reason why, after the transplant surgeon Dr. Musab's gifted transplant handiwork skillfully gave me a new life from a deceased kidney donor, why I had a more than positive outcome at OSU post transplant. I had a "sleepy kidney" that produced almost no urine for 10 days after the surgery. Every day, upon advice from Pesavento and Pavon, I messaged Pavon my vitals and urine output and weight, etc. Pavon presented the daily data to Dr. Pesavento and every day without fail, Dr. Pesavento advised me what exactly I was to do, and with further comprehension advice and guidance from Dr, Diez at Transplant, I now have a single deceased donor kidney that has gives me full kidney function. It's a miracle and both pre-transplant, surgical transplant, and post transplant personal from OSU-Wexner get all the credit. Some transplant facilities put a new kidney into a patient. From my experience, I know that OSU Transplant makes sure that the whole thing is and was and continues to be successful.
Dr Pesavento is the best in all categories. Professional but personal as well. I look forward to our yearly visit and I appreciate any professional input he has to offer.
