Vincent Brinkman, MD, is an assistant professor of clinical medicine and a general cardiologist who sees both outpatients and inpatients at The Ohio State Medical Center.
Dr. Brinkman earned his medical degree and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at Ohio State.
Dr. Brinkman specializes in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, including stress testing and transesophageal echocardiography. Dr. Brinkman's research focuses on clinical cardiology and cardiac imaging.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/29/2023, Dr. Brinkman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Discussed my specific concerns, asked about heart and other issues from previous visits. Listened to my heart and gave me feedback about what he heard. Asked about my exercise regimen and complimented me.

Dr. Brinkman is a very good doctor in all respects. He is a very thoughtful and genuine person. His humanity presents itself at every visit. I particularly like that Dr. Brinkman engages me in the science of medicine in a manner that is not "dumbed down", but still understandable to me. Following eight years in Dr. Brinkmans care, my heart health is good. Labs, BP all normal for many years!

I like Dr. Brinkman - but over a yr. ago I stopped taking meds - I was just tired of taking and knew I was playing with fire - Dr. Brinkman was kind enough to let me come back & be my dr. - cardiologist. Want to say again - I STOPPED TAKING MEDS. Dr. Brinkman is a really good dr. - he spends time with pts. - that I like - It was a yr. and Dr. Brinkman treated me GREAT.
