Biography
I’m board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as in the subspecialties of pain medicine and addiction medicine.
I’m proud to serve as medical director of oncology rehabilitation at Ohio State. We have expanded our services for cancer survivors and were the first in Ohio and second in the United States to have an accredited inpatient cancer rehabilitation service.
My clinical interests include cancer pain management, especially interventional management, cancer rehabilitation, chronic interventional pain management and neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulators.
I’m also a clinical professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I earned my medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed my residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Ohio State. Then I completed a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my dog Sawyer, and I am a national-level judge for U.S. Figure Skating.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Whitney Luke has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

No complaints, she was good and professional
My care provider has been the first provider to look at me after having major surgery and agreeing she can see the physical abnormalities that are causing me pain and restriction. I appreciate her acknowledging that it is visible I'm having physical issues contributing to pain and my mood and not just labeled as chronic pain. She referred me to fantastic physical therapists and has given details on where she would like to see improvement for me physically
Kind attentive personable
Dr. Luke was thorough.
Kind thorough confident
Satisfied
While of this was happening, the Dr did not come out and speak to me herself, once. The nurse was the go between. The Dr's time was scheduled for me. It's unclear why she was unable to speak to me directly regarding this since it would make sense that her schedule would be slotted for my procedure.
Went beyond my expectations
I felt unheard, gaslit as if the problems I knew were there weren't a concern, and that it was all my fibromyalgia. Also her suggestions for going forward were just more of the same that I have already done or were too unrealistic for someone with my chronic illnesses to do.
Very thoughtful, friendly, and helpful.
I only saw the Care provider for three minutes at the end. Everything was the PA. I sent a follow up question to the provider and have never heard back.
She was great
Dr Luke is always professional and prompt.
I was very wobbly after the procedure and all the staff were great at keeping me steady
