Biography
I am a neurologist specializing in neuromuscular medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I diagnose and treat a variety of conditions including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), myasthenia gravis (MG), gait disorders and peripheral nervous system diseases. When patients come to see me, they can expect compassionate care and a customized approach that best matches their individual needs and goals.
Neurological diseases significantly impact how people interact with the world around them and treating them requires close attention to detail. I always listen carefully to my patients to understand what they are experiencing, and I am passionate about getting them answers. I use the most advanced science and research available to find the correct diagnosis and help them improve their health.
My job includes helping to prepare the next generation of physicians. In my own training, I had role models who taught me that even with the advances in diagnostic testing, the best neurological care still happens in the clinic with the physical examination and patient history. I continue to see the wisdom of that lesson in my practice, and I work to pass that on to residents and fellows.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Questions appropriately
I drove an hour to and more than 90 minutes home. I spent almost an hour with the nurse practitioner for almost two hours. The doctor came in and made me feel like he could care less about me and my issues. He played off all of my issues like I was a liar or he had more important things to do. He did a few repeat tests and scheduled tests that he said would not prove anything, but he would still order them. This made me very upset. He acted like he was doing this just to appease me. I informed the nurse practitioner and the young lady in scheduling that I was extremely unhappy and I would never be back.
Dr. Everett is an excellent listener. He answered my questions directly and honestly. I feel he understands the anxiety I have about my condition.
The people we worked with were positive experiences over all.
Very happy with Dr Everett
Very good
Everyone was very helpful and respectful.
Good listener
Courteous and personable
Dr never introduced himself. Logged into the computer, asked his questions and typed every answer into the computer. Never even looked up at me. Did his physical exam, had me take my glasses off to check my eyes and then couldn't understand why my vision was even more blurry. Told me he wasn't convinced I had Myasthenia Gravis, even with symptoms and positive response to meds. He told me my medication (mestinon) worked for other conditions too, and he thought it was just long covid or CFS. Handed him a list of things my wife wrote down that she has observed as my caregiver. Took about 5 seconds to glance at it and gave it back. He never once even acknowledged that she was in the room. I have never felt as gaslighted as I did at this appointment.
Knowing and caring.
Very detailed in their testing and explanations. Listen to my concerns
Patient and can tell he is listening and gathering all info to know what our next step is to help me along
Very Concerned For My Health And Treatment.
I felt listened to, taken seriously, believed, and NOT dismissed or gaslighted, he seemed to consider my input as pertinent and valid.
Very polite and focused in the problem. Very respectful, he listened to what I had to say and took it very seriously
First time I have ever had a Dr spend all the time needed to address my problem.
Good
I expressed my insurance was changing first of the year and needed the tests before then the dr searched and found location where test could be performed.
Absolutely no bedside manner or personality My mother has alzheimers and he acted like she was not even in the room
