About Me
As an internal medicine physician specializing in cardiology, my main clinical focus is treating adults with various forms of congenital heart disease. My practice includes an emphasis on caring for patients with congenital heart disease and heart failure. In this role, I work closely with the heart failure and transplant teams here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and at Nationwide Children's Hospital. I also care for patients with acquired heart conditions such as coronary artery disease and pulmonary hypertension, and pregnant patients with heart disease.
I prioritize patient education and always take the time to ensure my patients understand their heart condition and all treatment options. I believe in shared decision-making and working collaboratively with patients to help improve their quality of life. My patients and their families can rely on me for honest communication and transparency throughout their health care journeys.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about research and helping to advance the field of adult congenital heart disease and heart failure. I have written several articles published in peer-reviewed journals. I am also an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine in The Ohio State University College of Medicine and serve as co-leader for the Pre-clinical Cardiopulmonary Block for medical students.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Marshall has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Was very good experience. You listened to my issues explained my test results and went over all the details of my issues.
Great customer and patient care
Same very good
Dr. Marshall is an exceptionally engaged and thoughtful physician. He listened to my concerns without judgement, provided fact and evidence based guidance on symptoms and potential treatment plans, and took the time to make sure we developed a health care plan tailored to my personal needs and goals. Given the ever increasing pressure on providers to move patients through an assembly line, his dedication to meeting me where I am while still providing evidenced based expert recommendations on my care is truly exceptional. I appreciate that none of this comes without effort/cost on his part, and very much appreciate his willingness to invest that time in patient care.
Dr. Marshall was excellent and even exceeded my expectations! I am so glad to be under his care!

Took the time to really listen, asked good questions to fully understand the situation
He was extremely informative, never talked down to me, answered all of my questions in detail, including drawing diagrams of my problem and discussing the pros and cons of 3 treatment options.

Good experience He listened well and responded to all
Attentive and caring. Confident
Absolutely excellent! Very professional, very, very knowledgeable and able to explain the information to me in a detailed and respectful way. No condescending attitude and very, very patient.
Nothing but good
