Medical ICUs care for patients with breathing problems resulting from complicated illnesses such as pneumonia, heart failure and severe infection, or breathing complications caused by cancer treatment.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has three medical intensive care units (MICUs) – two are on the eighth and 11th floors of Rhodes Hall and one is on the fourth floor of University Hospital East.
