Clinical Work and Research: As a clinician-researcher, Dr. Hall's work involves the study of brain mechanisms underlying the relationship between chronic pain and addiction, hyperkatifeia and the withdrawal/negative affect stage of addiction, the epidemiology of accidental drug overdose, health disparities in addiction treatment and addiction stigma. He also represents the Medical Center as co-leader of the Healthy State Alliance Addiction Initiative.
