The Movement Disorders Fellowship at Ohio State University is a 2-year post-residency program designed to develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of movement disorders.

In addition to a core rotation in the Center for Parkinson’s Disease and other Movement Disorders, there will be clinic rotations in Ataxia, Huntington’s disease, Neuropalliative neurology, and movement disorders-focused physical therapy.

Our program is currently nationally recognized as a Parkinson’s Disease Foundation Center of Excellence, Huntington’s Disease Society of America Center of Excellence and National Ataxia Foundation Center of Excellence.

In this program, fellows will:

  • Become proficient in both planning and management of advanced therapies including deep brain stimulation, focused ultrasound and gamma knife. This includes attending the advanced therapies multidisciplinary surgical conference which is held weekly.
  • Learn how to successfully implement botulinum toxin injections in dedicated procedure days. This includes learning how to perform EMG guided treatments when relevant.
  • Participate in weekly movement disorders video rounds where educational or challenging cases are shared and discussed. Two of these conferences per month are dedicated to specific conditions and treatments:
    • Monthly functional movement disorders video rounds
    • Monthly deep brain stimulation challenging programming and education rounds
  • Attend and present monthly journal club to discuss both cutting edge and foundational published literature.
  • Optionally engage in clinical trials research.

We are participating in the SF match. In addition to the SF match application, we also ask that you fill out the below application form and return to our program coordinator Delisa Watkins at Delisa.Watkins@osumc.edu.
