Biography
I am Neeraj Tayal, MD, and I specialize in internal medicine with a focus on preventive care, diabetes, hypertension and on cardiovascular risk reduction. My practice focuses on helping adults stay healthy, prevent disease and manage chronic and complex medical conditions over time.
I believe that excellent primary care is built on strong relationships, evidence-based medicine and proactive population health management. I partner with my patients to help them understand their health, prevent future illness and make informed decisions that align with their goals and values.
In addition to patient care, I dedicate much of my career to advancing how care is delivered. I have led initiatives to improve care quality, expand patient access to care and enhance healthcare through tools such as remote patient monitoring, electronic health records and preventive health programs.
I am passionate about using technology and clinical data to strengthen patient care. My work has focused on helping patients stay up-to-date with preventive services, improving chronic disease management, enhancing communication between patients and clinicians and supporting care beyond the traditional office visit.
Patients appreciate my willingness to listen, clearly explain medical concerns and collaborate on practical care plans that fit into their lives.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking, gardening, and exploring the connections between healthy food, healthy lifestyles and long-term wellness.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Neeraj Tayal has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

All good!
Always aware of my concerns and addresses them
Excellent listener. Explained in detail a question that I posed regarding alcohol consumption and my current medications. His explanation gave me greater insight into what I need to do for myself to avoid my alcohol intake offsetting the positive affects of my heart medications. Explaining without preaching is a skill. Dr. Tayal always brings discussions like this back to the team effort and he's here to help me understand but it's always my choice.
Dr. Tayal really knows my condition and cares about my health and situation. I'm grateful that he's my primary care provider.
